SO. I totally forgot to post this news on here!

I got to talk to Steve Endenbo! This is him! [link]

It was a complete surprise, a Random Act of kindness if you will! My sister, as an early Christmas gift decided called up Mr. Edenbo, LIKE IT NO BIG THANG, and asks him to call me! She was hinting at me for an entire day about an amazing surprise then shows up while I'm at work and says "AT 3:30, ANSWER THIS PHONE." I had no idea what was going to happen or who was going to call me, but when it rings, the phone identifies the area code as Philadelphia. Who the hell do I know in Philly?! No one. So I answer...

"um...hi?"
"Hi is this Heather?"
"No, um, this is Lauren."
"Oh! Well you're the one I'm supposed to talk to. This is Steve Edenbo!"
*I GASP AND I AM HOLDING BACK THE INSTA-TEARS OF SHEER JOY*
"OMG!......HI."

He was really modest! Apparently no one has ever asked him to call someone before, because in his words, "I am no celebrity."
YES YOU ARE SIR. YOU ARE THE MOST AWESOME JEFFERSON RE-ENACTOR EVAH.
And we talked about how much we love Jefferson, about my thesis, about the peeps at Monticello, his appearance on the Colbert Report, and he gave me lots of advice and encouragement to keep pursuing my dream to work at Monticello.

I actually try to not have a lot of regrets. But I do regret a lot of bad fights I've had with my sister.

Work at Monticello and open up a bookstore called Mockingbird Books :3

Work is hard, but I enjoyed college a lot. I love learning
